This organic baby product is by far our biggest seller! Our organic teething oil is 100% natural with no synthetic chemicals so it’s completely safe and suitable to use for sensitive skin and babies. Nutrient rich and completely plant derived, it contains safe essential oils known for their anti-inflammatory and pain relieving, cooling and soothing properties which help with the symptoms of teething. It is an amazing natural teething remedy which provides fast and effective pain relief and works exceptionally well. With the rise of nut allergies in babies, we do not use any nut oils in our formulas. It is a light non-greasy formula which will not leave an oily residue. Teething can be very upsetting for babies and parents alike. Unfortunately there is not a lot we can do, but we recommend using natural pain relief options such as a gentle (external) massage around the front of the ears and jawline with teething oil. Often babies do not want you to get into their mouth while they are teething, so this is a much more gentle way of treating teething pain. The molecules in essential oils are so tiny they are instantly absorbed through the skin into the bloodstream and this is where they can take effect. What’s in it?

Organic Safflower Oil

When topically applied to the skin, organic safflower oil functons as an emollient trapping moisture in your skin, keeping it hydrated and moisturised. It is naturally high in the Vitamin E antioxidant. A single spoon of safflower oils contains 4.6mg of Vitamin E. When used topically, Vitamin E has powerful effects on the skin. Safflower oil helps maintain the skin's outer protective layer, coating the skin and also enhancing its natural moisture barrier. This helps shield the environmental damage to your skin cells. Regular protection may reduce the risk of visible signs of skin damage like the creation of wrinkles.

Organic Cold Pressed Olive Oil

Traditionally a healing oil, it is a rich and non-drying oil perfectly safe to use on babies. It has soothing properties which can benefit dry or inflamed skin.

Natural Vitamin E Oil

We use this in a lot of our products. It helps normal red blood cells, muscles and other body tissues to grow and remain healthy. It is an anti-oxidant and reduces the cells’ and heart’s need for oxygen. It stimulates the immune system, helps block lipid peroxidation in cells and tissues, and can alleviate allergic reactions and help heal scar tissue. We also use it extensively as it acts as a natural preservative and prevents formulas from becoming rancid.

Organic Lavender Essential Oil

We love this oil so much it features in nearly all of our products. It is undoubtedly  the most versatile essential oil and consists of a complex chemical structure. It is one of the few oils which can be used neat (undiluted) on the skin or in wounds. The detailed array of therapeutic properties of lavender are too vast to list here. Lavender is a very useful and safe essential oil to use for many of the minor upsets of babies; colic, nappy rash, teething, burns, rashes, infections, colds, irritability and sleeplessness.  It is also very safe to use during pregnancy. Lavender is one of the three essential oils which most powerfully stimulate the growth of healthy new cells – Tea Tree and Neroli are the others. Lavender has numerous active constituents but above all, it is primarily the balancing and normalising action of the oil which makes it so beneficially versatile.

Organic Chamomile Essential Oils

There are several varieties of chamomile essential oil and their properties overlap to a large extent. We choose to use both German and Roman Chamomile oils in our products as they are also very versatile oils and their properties often overlap with those of our much loved Lavender. Chamomile essential oil has a gorgeous and distinctive apple-like scent and is also very beneficial to use for most infant upsets. It is very soothing, calming and anti-inflammatory. It is particularly effective for internal inflammatory conditions such as colic and teething, and its analgesic action is perfect for dull aches and pains. Chamomile tea is widely known for its profoundly calming effect, and is invaluable for use nervous tension and anxiety. Chamomile is extremely valuable for treating skin conditions and allergies such as eczema, psoriasis and all rashes and dry itchy skin conditions.  It is one of the most gentlest of oils and is particularly suitable for babies.

Organic Peppermint Essential Oil

This is a valuable oil for many purposes and is an effective painkiller, it also helps to control the bacteria on the surface of the skin. It blends well with many oils, especially Lavender and like Spearmint it has a cooling effect. Peppermint oil is much more anti-inflammatory than Spearmint oil which is why we have included it in this formula.

Organic Clove Leaf Oil

At a low concentration this oil has always been known to aid in treating aching teeth. The oil of the leaf is much more gentle and less toxic than the oil of the bud. It is simply a "must have" in a teething oil.

How to use it

Squirt small amount into your hands and rub hands together to warm. This is an organic product, please shake before use. Evenly apply (externally) to baby’s jawline, gums, cheeks and around the ears for a gentle soothing massage. Repeat if necessary, suitable for babies over 3 months.

How does it smell?

We understand the scent of a product is very important, and although synthetic fragrances may smell good, they are not good for baby’s delicate skin. We like to use organic plant based fragrances in the form of essential oils safe for use on babies. This organic baby teething massage oil contains a delightfully fresh and soothing aroma of Lavender, Chamomile, Clove and Spearmint which provide a fresh and zesty fragrance and is very appealing to both baby and parent.
